184th Ordnance Battalion stencils new ammunition suffix number on 81mm mortar rounds
Members of the Explosive Ordance Disposal Section, 184th Ordnance Battalion, renovate damaged and outdated ammunition at the explosive ordnance disposal area, 16 miles northwest of Qui Nhon. Defective fuses are removed from mortar rounds and replaced with new fuses. The defective ones are destroyed. Pfc Samuel A. Ayers (Northfield, Ohio), an ammunition renovation specialist, stencils the new ammunition suffix number on the 81mm mortar rounds in the renovation area. NARA 111-CCV-416-CC36053
