- What counts as a search?
- Each search you run, on this site or in Claude, counts once; the two share the same monthly total. Opening a photo, downloading it and getting credit lines never count, and a search that fails isn't counted.
- What happens when I run out?
- Claude or the search page tells you, with a link to this page. Searches reset on the first day of each month, and every photo page stays open.
- Is there a fair-use limit on Pro?
- Yes, 2,000 searches a month, enough to illustrate many scripts. Write to us if you need more.
- Can I use the photos commercially?
- They are public domain in the United States, so yes. Each photo shows why it is public domain and the record that was read from; see the licences page for the limits.
- Can I cancel?
- Yes, at any time. You keep Pro until the end of the period you paid for.
