Recreational areas include the Lily Bay Boat Launch and part of the Cave Point-Clay Banks State Natural Area. Some tracts off of or near Lake Forest Park Road are owned by the Door County Land Trust. Public access to Dunes Lake is only by wading or boat through Dolans (also called Donlans) Creek or Shivering Sands Creek.
