U.S. Navy aircraft of Carrier Air Group (Night) 53 (CVG(N)-53) sit on the flight deck of the aircraft carrier USS Saratoga (CV-3), circa in February 1945. Clearly identifiable is Saratoga s geometric identification symbol on the aircraft. It was intruduced in January 1945, but Saratoga was already put out of action on 21 February 1945.
