Artemis Acceleration Press Conference

NASA Administrator Jared Isaacman participates in a news conference on Friday, Oct. 23, 2026, at the agency’s Kennedy Space Center in Florida. The briefing reviewed plans for NASA’s Artemis III mission that will send four astronauts to low Earth orbit in 2027 to test critical systems needed for future lunar landings and updated the plans to return American astronauts to the Moon by 2028. In a monitor next to Isaacman is a view of Artemis III’s core stage of the SLS (Space Launch System rocket) in the transfer aisle of the Vehicle Assemble Building at NASA Kennedy. Behind Isaacman are from left to right; NASA Deputy Press Secretary George Alderman; NASA Associate Administrator Amit Kshatriya; and Jeremy Parsons, NASA’s Artemis program manager.
