Artemis Acceleration Press Conference

From left to right; NASA Administrator Jared Isaacman; NASA Deputy Press Secretary George Alderman; NASA Associate Administrator Amit Kshatriya; Jeremy Parsons, NASA’s Artemis program manager, participate in a news conference on Friday, Oct. 23, 2026, at the agency’s Kennedy Space Center in Florida. The briefing reviewed plans for NASA’s Artemis III mission that will send four astronauts to low Earth orbit in 2027 to test critical systems needed for future lunar landings and updated the plans to return American astronauts to the Moon by 2028. Members of the media sit at desks in front of the panel while broadcast cameras stream the news conference from behind the audience. In monitors flanking the panel is a view of Artemis III’s core stage of the SLS (Space Launch System) rocket horizontal in the transfer aisle of the Vehicle Assemble Building at NASA Kennedy.
