Artemis III Crew Orbital Observations Training

jsc2026e419984 (Sept. 29, 2026) --- Members of the Artemis III science training team discuss the Crew Targeting Plan (CTP) software with the Artemis III crew during an orbital observations training session at NASA’s Johnson Space Center in Houston. The CTP helps the astronauts track their timeline to guide their observations and enables documentation of images and annotations. During their mission, the Artemis III astronauts will observe the Earth and Sun from their unique orbital vantage point. They will capture a mix of audio observations, imagery, and annotations to create a scientific record of Earth’s environment, atmosphere, and dynamic phenomena.
