Crow Indians offering food -Edward S. Curtis
The Oath Apsaroke by Edward S. Curtis depicting three Crow men giving a symbolic Oath. A piece of bison meat was stuck to the end of an arrow while the man spoke the oath. After speaking he touched the meat to his lips and placed it upon a red painted bison skull to show that his words are true.
