D-Day 75 Commemorative Airborne Operation
Distinguished guests stand in honor of the service members who were killed and wounded during the Battle for La Fiere Bridgehead, June 6-9, 1944, during the Iron Mike Ceremony in Sainte-Mere-Eglise, France, June 9, 2019. Seventy-five years later, the bravery and heroism by all allies during World War II continues to resonate with U.S. forces in Europe - who remain steadfast in their commitment to European allies and partners.
