Portrait photographer David DeJonge addresses the audience during Pentagon ceremonies unveiling his portraits of the last nine veterans of World War I on March 6, 2008. DeJonge commented that seven of his subjects passed away before today's ceremony but 107 year-old WWI Army ambulance driver Frank Woodruff Buckles was present to personally see his portrait unveiled and to address the audience. The other, John Babcock, who served with the Canadian Armed Forces, was unable to attend the ceremony.
