Downtown Lakeshore You can see the Gibson House Hotel on the right which burnt down February 16, 1942 and was replaced with a new building called the Halton Hotel. Here's an amazing 1926 image from Library and Archives Canada (PA-087423) of the main street of Oakville, Lakeshore Road, looking east from about Navy Street - looking toward Thomas Street.
