Allied war supplies are pouring into Russia in ever increasing quantities via Bandar Shahpour (now Bandar-e Emam Khomeyni ) and the Trans-Iranian Railway. Transported across salt marsh and desert to Ahwaz road and rail convoys there join the flow of supplies proceeding up river from Khurramshahr (now Khorramshahr) and Bushiro, all thence continuing northwards to the U.S.S.R. Shown: A Russian driver at the wheel of a lorry just taken over which he will drive for eight days in convoy northwards to Russia loaded with Allied supplies.
