NASM 4A 37990 - September 1951
"Republic of Korea soldiers gratefully receive their rations which have been airdropped in this mountainous sector of eastern Korea from transports of the U.S. Air Force's 315th Air Division (Combat Carge). The huge C-119 "Flying Boxcars" of the 314th Troop Carrier Group came in so low to hit the drop zone that they were fired at by enemy small arms fire. Supplies of food, ammunition and medical supplies to ROK troops in this area made possible the holding of a strategic position. "The airdrops are a God-send," commented one ROK general."
