Remnants of ranching history.
Cattle corrals at Novillo Line Camp. During the ranching days of the 19th and 20th century cattle would be driven 15 miles a day and put into corrals at three line camps to rest overnight. Remnants of the cowboy/vaquero camps exist today at only one location; the Novillo Line Camp near the northern boundary of Padre Island National Seashore. *Keywords: nps centennial media quality
