Silver Star from Lt. James Robert Barnett
Silver Star medal with case, ribbon pin, and lapel button. Lt. James Robert Barnett earned this Silver Star for “gallantry in action” during the Vietnam War. He mailed it (along with his other military medals and commendations) to President Gerald R. Ford in protest over Ford's conditional amnesty program for Vietnam draft evaders.
