Symphony Hall in Springfield, Massachusetts, the fourth-largest city in New England, behind Boston and Worcester in Massachusetts and Providence in Rhode Island. Constructed from 1911 to 1913, the Greek Revival building, one of three prominent municipal buildings in the city's Metro Center district, the others are City Hall and a 300-foot clocktower, is a notable example of the City Beautiful style made popular by architect Daniel Burnham.
