UH-1 evacuates Vietnamese farmers wounded by a VC boobytrap
On 7 October 1966, a Joint US and South Vietnamese Army Pacification program termed Operation "Lam Son II", is conducted by elements of the 1st Inf Div and elements of the 5th ARVN forces in Binh Dung Province, 20 kilometers northwest of Saigon. A UH-1B helicopter ambulance arrives and evacuates two Vietnamese farmers who were wounded by a Viet Cong booby trap while they were enroute to the medical aid station for free aid offered them by this pacification program.
