US Navy Project High Jump Phantom record pilots 1962
In early 1962, the U.S. Navy conducted "Project High Jump" from Naval Air Stations Brunswick, Maine (USA), and Point Mugu, California (USA), during which several McDonnell F4H-1 Phantom IIs captured eight time-to-climb records. This collage shows three pilots, LCDR Del W. Nordberg, LCDR F. Taylor Brown, LCDR John W. Young, and the F4H-1 BuNo 148423.
