USCGC Duane (WHEC-33) returning from Vietnam 1968
The U.S. Coast Guard cutter USCGC Duane (WHEC-33) steaming home after completing her tour of duty in Vietnam. Note the "homeward bound" pennant fluttering from her foremast, suspended in the air by helium-filled balloons. The Duane permanently departed Vietnamese waters on 28 July 1968. By the time she had returned to the U.S., Duane had been underway for a total of 226 days and steamed over 110,000 km.
