USS Aludra (AF-55) replenishes USS Coral Sea (CVA-43) and USS Cochrane (DDG-21) off Vietnam on 15 May 1965 (NH 104027)

The U.S. Navy stores ship USS Aludra (AF-55), center, is approached by the guided missile destroyer USS Cochrane (DDG-21), at left, and the aircraft carrier USS Coral Sea (CVA-43) for underway replenishment, during operations in the South China Sea. The Coral Sea, with assigned Attack Carrier Air Wing 15 (CVW-15), was deployed to Vietnam from 7 December 1964 to 1 November 1965.<br Note thet the Douglas A-4E Skyhawk parked directly in front of the brigde wears the tail code "NP" of CVW-21 which was deployed to the Western Pacific and Vietnam aboard USS Hancock (CVA-19) from 21 October 1964 to 19 May 1965. It was probably a replacement aircraft from Hancock as she was leaving the combat zone.
