View of downtown Sioux City, Iowa, notably the City Hall, with its looming clock tower
The structure was Sioux City's first federal building, as a post office and government office building, completed in 1897. The building is an example of Richardsonian Romanesque architecture, a style developed in the last half of the 19th century.
