VP meets with Congressional Medal of Honor recipient DVIDS102222
Congressional Medal of Honor Recipient Capt. Thomas Hudner (Ret.) meets with Vice President Dick Cheney during an underway demonstration aboard the USS Constitution. Hudner, who has been on several underway demonstrations aboard "Old Ironsides," earned the Medal of Honor for a heroic rescue attempt of a fellow naval aviator during the Korean War. The 210-year-old USS Constitution is the oldest commissioned warship afloat in the world and manned by 68 active duty U.S. Navy sailors. The ship hosts nearly half a million tourists annually.
