Women at work on Douglas A-20 Havoc bomber, Douglas Aircraft Company, Long Beach, Calif.

Women working on the Wright R-2600 Cyclone 14 engine of a Douglas A-20 Havoc twin-engine bomber at Douglas Aircraft Company's plant in Long Beach, California. (The original caption identifies this as a Douglas C-47 transport, but the engine nacelle placement relative to the wing is different from the C-47's, and the C-47 didn't use the Cyclone 14. Only the A-20 used the Cyclone 14 with type 6353A-21 propeller blades.) Original title: Women at work on C-47 Douglas cargo transport, Douglas Aircraft Company, Long Beach, Calif.
