Fresh produce grown locally by Vietnamese farmers are purchased by the U.S. forces to insure ensure that the troops in the field have fresh vegetables daily and to help boost the local economy by giving the local farmers a market for their crops. PFC Richard Pawlsen of C Battery, 2nd Battalion, 13th Artillery, 23rd Artillery Group, enjoys a hot meal which includes fresh green salad, while a patient at the 45th Surgical Hospital (MUST) located in the Tay Ninh Combat Base.
