Altar area on Le Loi Circle
High angle overall view of Le-Loi Circle, during the National Shame Day demonstration at Le-Loi Circle, Saigon. The demonstration commemorates the signing at Geneva on 20 July 1954, the agreement which divided Vietnam into two parts. The demonstration also honored the nation's war dead of the past ten years. The altar area built in the water fountain was used for the placing of flower wreaths in ceremonies honoring the dead. NARA 111-CCV-47-CC26825
