Lot 11605-9
Persian Corridor – British and American Lend-Lease supplies transferred to the Soviet Union during World War II. Major General Donald H. Connolly, Commander, U.S. Army Forces in Iran and Iraq, takes a group of Iranian journalists on a tour of U.S. Army installations. The journalists were guests of the soldier’s mess and were shown that only American food was served, thus not depriving the Iranians of their own food supply. Photographed by Nick Parrino, March 1943. Office of War Information Photograph, 28436-E. (2016/02/19)
