NAS Ford Island 8 Dec 1941
View of the U.S. Navy Naval Air Station Ford Island on 8 December 1941. Various utility planes are visible, a rare Douglas R3D transport is visible in the foreground. The seaplane tender USS Curtiss (AV-4) is visible on the left, USS Tangier (AV-8) and two Northampton-class cruisers are visible in the center. The bottom of the capsized USS Utah (AG-16) is barely visible between Tangier and the torpedoed cruiser USS Raleigh (CL-7).
