Schooner Dauntless-1
{{en|1=NYYC vice-commodore Caldwell Hart Colt's schooner Dauntless (formerly L'Hirondelle, originally modelled and built as a sloop by the Forsyth & Morgan shipyard in 1866). She had been rebuilt as a schooner at the Joseph B. Van Deusen shipyard in 1870, and subsequently had defended the Queen's Cup, where she placed second. She is pictured here racing the Ogden Goelet cup on August 8th, 1888. *New York Times - The race for the the Goelet Cup produces an imposing marine spectacle, spoiled by a poor wind
