Sloop Colonia-8
The Archibald Rogers syndicate's sloop Colonia (Nathanael Greene Herreshoff design, 1893), built as a defence candidate for the America's Cup. She is pictured here on the day of the Ogden Goelet Cup in Newport, RI, which she won in a drifting match which ended in fog and a comical quiproquo with the flagship over which of the four cup contenders had actually won. *New York Times - Colonia won the Goelet Cup
