Schooner Colonia-01
Larchmont Yacht Club Commodore Clarence Ashley Postley's schooner Colonia (designed and built as a sloop in 1893 by Herreshoff to be a candidate in the 1893 America's Cup) rerigged as a schooner under the supervision of Archibald Cary Smith, who fitted her with a centerboard. She is pictured here in the Larchmont Yacht Club's spring regatta, which she lost in her class to John Rogers Maxwell's schooner Emerald. *New York Times - Colonia as a schooner *New York Times - Light Air for yachts
